Chinese in Malaysia try to prevent to have the wedding ceremony in this Ghost Festival month. They believe it will bring the bad luck or the things which happened unexplainably.

So the ordering of the Chinese wedding luncheon or dinner almost none. The restaurant mostly will started to operate the business for preparing the food for the common people.

If found out the passed away relatives (some what in the dream) wanted to get married. The people who is alive will fulfill their needs by go through the medium and arrange for them. Sometimes the cost is higher because afterall it is spirit business. Sometimes marriage between spirit with spirit or spirit with human. It is a bit complicated to understand this practise.
